At what age can I take my puppy home?

Puppies can go to their new home at 8 weeks of age.

What comes with my puppy?

Puppies will have received their first shot, been dewormed and dew claws removed.  Birth Certificate and Shot Record will be provided.  Additional goodies included:  Baby blanket (the pups need the smell of home for a day or two), a new chew toy, and some documentation covering rearing puppies.  Buyer must sign a contract and place a deposit to choose their puppy when it is near 4+ weeks of age.

Are the puppies guaranteed?

Yes, all puppies are guaranteed to healthy, happy puppies when you take them home and are warranted for a year.  In the event, a genetic issue arises, buyer will be given a full refund upon verification (at buyers expense) of genetic issues.  Puppies cannot not be returned and refunds provided if the owners 'change their mind', move and can't keep it, landlord issues, etc.  Only valid, confirmed health issues will be considered for refund. Puppies are not guaranteed for virus' as they can be contracted at anytime from any number of sources.  Puppies are guaranteed to go home virus free, however, that guarantee ends upon the puppies first visit to the vet (required within 48 hours of possession).

Replacement Procedure under Guarantee:

1) Seller’s guarantee is to the original buyer only.
2) Buyer must notify seller of any problem within 24 hours of diagnosis by a licensed veterinarian.
3) Buyer must provide a written statement by a licensed veterinarian.
4) Buyer may select a replacement dog from another litter, when available, of comparable or lesser value. If a higher valued dog is chosen, the buyer must pay the difference in value.
5) Transportation and/or freight charges are the responsibility of the buyer for both the returned dog and replacement dog.
6) The seller reserves the right to return the purchase price instead of replacing the dog.

How much do the puppies cost?

The price of the puppies depend on several factors, including sex, color, number born, number of each sex, etc.  The price ranges from $1800 to $2200 for Goldendoodles.  Bernedoodles are highly sought after and are priced between $2500 and $4200.  These prices are subject to change based on market value.  To get pricing for any specific puppy, go to the contact tab and request information from there.  The actual price of the puppies will be determined once the puppies are about 3+ weeks old.  The actual price any buyer pays for a puppy is between the seller and the buyer.  No individual prices will be published on the internet.

How do the puppy waiting lists work?

All puppies will be chosen by buyers in order of the "waiting list".  First on the list gets first choice and so on.  Anyone can get on any list at any time.  A fee of $200 is required to retain your spot on any list of any confirmed pregnancy.  An Additional fee of $300 is required when you choose your puppy.  These fees are applied toward the total price of the puppy.  When you come to pick your puppy up, the balance is due.  Puppies are chosen when they are about 4+ weeks old.  All fees are non-refundable in the event a buyer drops from the list at any time for any reason.

There are 3 lists.  One for each mom.  There are NO male/female lists.  It is clearly first come, first serve for choice of puppies based on where you are on the list.  If you are a higher number on the list, the chances of getting a specific sex is pretty rare (Murphy's Law).  Females tend to be more in demand, so if your number is above 1/2 the size of the litter, cross your fingers.

Do the puppies come Microchipped?

No, microchips are the responsibility of the buyer and is highly recommended.

Male or a female?  Which is best for your family?

Are you wondering whether a male or female puppy is right for you?  The following information describes some of the traits common to males and females and may help you decide.

Within the dog world, females usually rule the roost.  They are the ones who determine the pecking order and strive to maintain that order.  They are much more intent on displaying dominance by participating in alpha behaviors such as "humping" other dogs.  Most fights are generally between two females, both competing for that top position.  Females tend to be more territorial, obstinate, and independent than their male counterparts.  Males, on the other hand, are usually more steadfast, dependable, loyal and crave more attention from their family.  Food is an easy motivator for males and helps in the area of training.  Give them a treat for their positive behavior and they continue to exhibit eagerness to please.  Their acceptance of other family pets and willingness to bond with children is definitely a plus.

Females will rarely demonstrate a dominance issue with their owner. They are sensitive and also eager to please, coming to you for love and attention, and then leaving as soon as they've gotten their fill.  They may show cleverness or be devious in attaining their own agenda. The female also has seasons of being "in heat" unless they have been spayed.  This heat cycle typically lasts for 22-28 days, roughly every six to seven or even eight months.  During this time a bloody discharge can be left on carpet, furniture, concrete, or anywhere else that she may go.  A walk outside during this time can become hazardous if male dogs are in the neighborhood.  She will be depositing her "calling card" or scent to every unaltered male in the vicinity, regardless of breed.  These males will follow you to your yard and wait for an opportune moment to associate with your female.  Many unwanted pregnancies have occurred from these brief encounters.

The above mentioned traits are general gender characteristics of canines. They are not specific to the Goldendoodle breed.  Thus, in all reality, both male and female Goldendoodles make GREAT family pets. I feel that the best attitude to have in choosing a new pet for your family is to have no preconceived ideas as to gender, and to just allow yourself to come and fall in love with whichever pup seems to bond best with you. However, we understand that only you can determine which gender will best suit your family, so we are here to answer any questions that you may have and greatly desire the perfect puppy for your home.
